It was yet another bountiful Saturday for theatres as close to Rs. 30 crores more came in at the box office. All the films in the running, be it 83, Spider-Man: No Way Home and Pushpa (Hindi) made good gains, hence resulting in many theatres across the country registering good footfalls.
83 stays on to be highest performing film of the daay, what with Rs. 16.95 crores more coming in. After Sooryavanshi, this is only the second Hindi movie to be registering good numbers. Of course, the need of the hour is for the Ranveer Singh starrer to quickly get into the 20s and ideally that should have happened by yesterday, if not on the opening day itself.
Nonetheless, that may just about happen today as Rs. 29.59 crores have already been accumulated and a day in excess of Rs. 20 crores should help the Bollywood biggie score half a century in its opening weekend.
