‘Dhobi Ghat’ does well

Given its art house genre, DHOBI GHAT has fared well in U.K., is fair in Australia, but is impressive in U.S.A. The film collected USD 265,000 in U.A.E. and the rest of the world contributed USD 180,000 till Sunday. Released with 186 prints in the Overseas territory, the film has done approx Rs. 4.5 crores [USD 1 million] in the opening weekend.… YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA is good in U.K., but excellent in U.S.A. … NO ONE KILLED JESSICA has almost exhausted its run in these two markets.

U.K. BOX-OFFICE

  • DHOBI GHAT has debuted at No. 16 position. In its opening weekend, the film has collected £ 1,18,571 [approx. Rs. 86.31 lacs] on 39 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 3,040.
