SHAADI KE SIDE/EFFECTS had everything going in its favor: interesting cast, attention-grabbing premise, good pre-release buzz, strong visibility, no major opposition to contend with, glowing reviews and positive word of mouth. The genre holds universal appeal, but the screenplay as well as the execution of the written material makes it a multiplex offering. And the film has behaved exactly the way it was expected to, performing very well at multiplexes/urban centres, besides registering good growth over the weekend.
