After Rajat Kapoor's MITHYA, its Arindham Nandy's VIA DARJEELING which perfectly fits in the category of 'intelligent cinema'..!!! This is something which i have never seen before. Its a suspense thriller which makes you guess, makes you use your brain n makes you to draw your conclusion yourself..very interesting! [but i know lot of people are gonna hate it..i have also read somewhere that its similar to the film Rashoman, i don't know, not sure...], it also require patience, it should have had more thriller king of feel. This 2 hrs flick does lack it's pace in the middle but the end is which worth waiting!! VIA DARJEELING is good from the writing point of view (written by Arindham Nandy n Ranjan Das), Music n background score by Prabuddha Banerjee and Cinematography by Abhik Mukherjee is good. Editing by Arghyakamal Mitra is excellent, very cleverly edited! Big applauds for the first time director Arindham Nandy who has the courage of choosing this kind of theme. One cannot ignore the fact that he has directed it so cleverly! Arindham is the director to watch for! Really waiting for your next film!! Performances by everyone are worth praising, Vinay Pathak, Kay Kay Menon, Sonali Kulkarni, Prashant Narayan n Rajat Kapoor stand out with their excellent performances! On the whole, VIA DARJEELING has the ability of stimulating your intelligence..!! Definitely recommended.. My Rating: 3/5 .............

Indian films are growing .. be it Rang debasanti,chak de ,TZP,aamir everyone is trying to be diffeernt..and Via Darjeeling is one in the queue...May be the films hasn't been menat keeping the commercial aspect in mind but its a true experimental film on the lines of Roshomon.

A movie lile VIA DARJEELING ends satisfying no one...not the masses nor the movie buff or the intellectual film goer. In the name of experimentation one cannot be taken for ride. A first glance of this movie makes one feel that you are watching deleted and alternate endings in a DVD. On the whole one comes out feeling cheated, unsatisfied and confused as to the purpose of this film.
