Salman Khan Films and Kabir Khan Films’ Tubelight is a cinematically represented story about the adage ‘Faith can move mountains’. The film is about the slow learner Laxman Singh Bisht (Salman Khan) and all that which matters to him in his life. Because of Laxman’s slow learning abilities, he gets a nick name of ‘Tubelight’ (hence the title).
Laxman Singh Bisht’s life comes to standstill when his dearest brother Bharat Singh Bisht (Sohail Khan) fails to come back from the war front. Around the same time, there enters a little boy Guo (Master Matin Rey Tangu) and his widowed mother, Liling (Zhu Zhu).
Does Laxman Singh Bisht’s brother Bharat Singh Bisht ever come back from the war front, what roles do Guo and his mother Liling play in the life of Laxman Singh Bisht is what forms the rest of the film.
