3.5 Very Good

?Tamasha? is a brilliant film. Very unpretentious in the treatment; it transcends you to a different world. You can see the characters mirroring you in bits. You feel exposed when the characters portray how you behaved in a similar situation in your life.

?#?ImtiazAli? never ceases to amaze me. This is his best work so far without a doubt. The narrative style is very unique and commendable. Cinematography deserves a special mention. The camera angles are creative so that you focus on exactly what is supposed to be seen. It's a heady combination of riveting screenplay, astounding direction, outstanding performances (?#?RanbirKapoor? #?DeepikaPadukone?), engaging music (?#?ARRahman?)and picturesque locations.

Ranbir Kapoor has truly owned this movie by his performance. Deepika however has been missing in few parts in the second half of the movie. Imtiaz could have had few more scenes there to show her development as her comeback feels bit sudden.

Nevertheless, detailing in sets, attires, lighting, down to body language and portrayal of each character is spellbinding.

A must watch.
