as presented South Asian politics r more like a family business + social drama. Kinda like a pack of dog with short term memory loss burning their mouth again & again while checking out fire on a fuel stove. some old story shit tht hit the fan once & the control was lost . Ranbir Kapoor & Nana Patekar was great, the chick really didn't hav much voice. irritating part was seeing so many ppl doing nothing just listening to politician's speech, & getting all emotional by one serious line. but I guess tht's how it goes there. even the educated ppl will go & vote just bcoz it's a govt. holiday. this side or tht.

First of all I have to agree that I have always believed in Taran Adarsh's reviews. He views with an audiences mind and than writes them.. well except for some movies like "APARTMENT" when I don't know what he was thinking... I have felt he does justice to the movies. Rajneeti is a no wonder a modified and modern day adaptation of Mahabharata or it is highly influenced from it at least. But what keeps us at the edge of the seat is the competent performance from each and every actor and actress and the constant intense drama that goes on throughout the movie. Ajay Devgan, Manoj Bajpai, Ranvir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Nana Patekar and everyone else. Two thumbs up for Prakash Jha for such a treat to us, audience..!!!

An Excellently framed movie is what you can judge about Rajneeti.
Actually after Gangajal and Apaharan,Prakash Jha has lived upto the expectations and hype which Rajneeti had built its pre release.
The characterization is just superb and each character especially Manoj,Rampal are just superb.
Ajay seems to be a bit sidelined in the movie.
Ranbir and Kat too were fabulous in their roles.
One does not feel any patches of boredom eventhough the movie is quite lengthy thanks to the crisp editing and great direction.
It is really nice to see such a hard hitting movie about political conspiracy succeed in delivering.
Overall,You must watch Rajneeti because of the performances,direction and screenplay.
