Well i have just watched th't movie here in Pakistan , I really like th't movie but there is some scenes in the movie which seem not that good . Im very impressed with imran khan acting , I,m seeing new Amir Khan inside him . His acting is unforgetable . I dedicate all that movie to him I think he have a good bright future and really happy to watch that there is new khan after our old 4 khan's, Manisha Lambha not that good he did nothing more than showing his skins . Sanjay as usual good :). Music also good we c'nt xpect more than th't music in such kind of movies ,Specially title track "Mit Jayae" sing well and act well. I will rate it 4.0 and its only becoz of imran khan

Is that Vidya Malvade acting as the mother of Manisha Lamba? Doesn't matter who ever she is. This absolutely doesn't make sense. How can a young and a gorgeous looking girl can be a mother? Are the Directors and producers went out of their mind?. She is much taller, smarter, looks more younger and more prettier then Manisha. Manisha Lamba is too fake, she can't act, dancing total crap. Her best role in a movie will be a sister or a friend or any other role besides the main heroine. There is no doubt I will prefer Vidya Malvade as the main actress because for this kind of film doesn't matter whether the actress can act or not, she is just need to look hot, sexy and Manisha doesn't have neither.

A film like KIDNAP holds a huge weight of expectations on its shoulders. Be it the fantastic promos, Sanjay Gadhavi's success with his two previous ventures DHOOM and DHOOM 2 or the odd yet interesting cast list. Yet, the eye-catching cat-n-mouse flick falls flat on its face. What was supposed to be a gripping thriller with daredevil action sequences, superb performances and great music turns out to be a lifeless, boring and uninspiring motion picture. Dr. Mallika and her daughter Sonia have just had a fight over the fact that Sonia cannot see her father as a birthday gift. Steaming and in a huff, Sonia strips off her clothes and starts to swim, getting kidnapped by Kabir. He phones Dr. Mallika and tells her that he will negotiate with no one, no one but Vikrant Raina. Vikrant comes to Sonia's aid, unaware that the next few days will become a life-changing event. KIDNAP starts off promisingly with the compelling sketches of a young boy being misused and abused at a Juvenile Home rolling with the titles. Then begins the "S" for Sonia track and with Minissha pervading the screen in skimpy little bikinis and knickers seems a visual treat. So far so good. But everything turns into a complete mess from there! The long and tedious argument between Minissha and Vidya could've done with some editing. The appallingly bad acting in this scene can only add to the boredom. The Kidnapping scene is excellent- but then the pace slows down again. Sonia doesn't believe that she's been kidnapped and so walks up to Kabir and demands him to take her home - what the hell? And then everything falls from there. When the glamorous Vidya finds out that her daughter has been kidnapped, the make-up, designer shades and labelled dressing never ceases in fact she maintains the style all the way through - and how realistic is that? A proper mother would go so crazy she can't even speak. The pointless train chase is again very long and tedious, it could've done with some good editing. What more, the clues make no sense at all until Sanju Baba himself works them out. The jail scene is absurd, almost every chapter in this long and very boring tale is pointless and nothing but a big yawn. The writing is very pathetic. So pathetic that ranks amongst Love Story 2050 and all the weaker scripts that have been forced onto the screen. The characters are like mannequins with no personality or expression. It looks as though Shree Asthavinayak wanted to boast its pocket by presenting its actors in good clothing. The screenplay is equally all over the place. There is not one gripping moment in this sequence of shoddy events and even though there are only a few clues, the fact that Sanju finds one and after the other makes you want to scream. I was actually on the verge of walking out! The kidnapper's motive, though it thankfully isn't money, is something even more stupid. A 13 year old boy grabs a car and the young Sonia just happens to get into it. A car crash, Sonia narrowly avoids death whilst Kabir is sent to a juvenile home forever...what rubbish! Cinematography and background music is first rate. Music by Pritam is a slip-up. The sound design by Dwarak Warrier is excellent as is the styling. Imran Khan is perhaps the best performance in the film. Even though his dialogue delivery is flat and his face expressionless, he does pull-through after a while. Minissha Lamba hams and just excels and in shedding more and more clothes. Vidya looks hot, but she again is very flat and expressionless. Ditto for Sanjay Dutt. Overall, KIDNAP can go ahead and grab the worst thriller of the year award. It neither thrills, nor chills, exhilerates or excites. Almost everything is a minus.

Kidnap turns out to be the last movie review I read on bollywoodhungama.com. The movie has been over analysed to an extent which makes you wonder if the critic was looking for a path breaking cinema. The review referred to expectations from the film due to Dhoom and Dhoom2. However, bollywoodhungama.com had given dhoom 1.5/5. Some other movie ratings were Chak de India and Zinda 2/5. Yes the movie is not the best movie of the year but definitely not a 2/5. Minuses – a weak script. Which is understandable as the writer is the same as Fanaa and KANK. Rani’s character in KANK and Aamir telling Kajol about his identity in Fanaa being evidence of a weak script writer. Second, the lighting in the climax is a touch too dark. It could have been filmed better. However, the execution is impressive. Imran doesn’t give a smile in his entire performance justifying his selection for a slightly complicated role. Sanjay Dutt fits his role of a tough businessman with a father’s heart. The manner in which Imran is introduced has an impact. The game he plays with Manissha Lamba when she tries to stab him is breathtaking. He looks like a ticking time bomb the entire film, where you know he would not hurt Manisha’s character until its time, but you can never be too sure. The chase sequence between Imran and Sanjay is expertly executed. The last dialogue Imran says in the movie, like his character, could have been easily been overdone but thanks to Sanjay Gadhvi and Imran himself, the intensity has been maintained. Finally, Kidnap is a well made film and highly recommended. Imran Khan is by far the highlight of the film. This review is for people who are not Imran Khan fans. For people who are, well you haven’t watched the movie yet, so clearly you are not an Imran Khan fan. Go watch the film.

What a ridiculous movie .The movie is absolutely pointless and drags like a hell right from the first frame to the first frame to the last .The title credit with the sketch thing was kinda unique but the movie goes downhill right after that .The minisha song at the very start was bad .Things began to go worse from this point .The vidya Malvade track is the biggest hurdle in the story .The film becomes a painful exercise to sit through whenever she appears on the screen .So boring and slows down the pace of the considerably .A big yawn .The way kidnap is executed was fine but the way Minisha beahves in the house after being Kidnapped is an absolute disaster .The clue given by Imraan to Sanju had no head or tail .To make matters worse the suspense is revealed so early in the second half .The climax is the biggest blunder from the writing POV . The only thing I liked was the chase in the second half .It was brilliantly executed .Sanju is jaded .Minisha is old .Vidya sucks .Imraan is the only thing worth a watch in this blunder .

Overall, the storyline was pretty well-written until the interval. The first few sequences with Minissha's kidnapping and Imraan's introduction were done very well and were quite interesting. After the interval was when things started going downhill. The pace itself slowed down considerably and tended to be a bit predictable, especially the sequence in which Sanjay is asked to commit murder. The last couple scenes in the movie didn't seem like they belonged; almost as if the screenplay writer didn't know where to take the story and used them as a last resort. There's no denying it: Imraan Khan is the star of this movie. His facial expressions and dialogue delivery in each and every scene of the movie are simple amazing. He fits the character to a T and does an great job at fulfilling his role as mastermind/planner. Sanjay Dutt was great for the suit-and-tie parts of the movie, but felt a little forced in the parts that required action. Maybe he's gotten a little too old for this stuff? Minissha Lamba did well in her role, but did not look like a seventeen year old girl. But the audience could definitely sense the sexual tension between her and Imraan in some scenes. Vidya Malvade did well as the mother: another job well done after Chak De!. Rahul Dev's character could have been removed from the script; there was really no point of having him there. In fact he was kind of in the way of the plot at times. As for cinematography, some scenes seemed a bit darker than they could have been. The chase sequences between buildings with Imraan, Sanjay and Rahul were shot great, though a bit longer than necessary. The camera angles for Mit Jaaye were great, adding to the feeling of Imraan's expressions of angst and turmoil. The storybook scenes at the beginning of the narrative was a good touch. All in all, it was a great watch for any Imraan Khan fans and a pretty good story, but not up to par for Sanjay Gadhvi after releasing the superhit Dhoom series.
