There is no story..No defined characters..horrible screen sequences..Total waste of time and money. Johars & Chopras should watch their movies before releasing them. Taran Adarsh, I've started losing faith in your assessment of the movies (why they are always glorified for Johars, Chopras and Shahrukhs when they are not???). You can be fooled once, may be twice, but not all the time.

Although I'm an avid Abhishek Bachchan fan, and was a little upset when Yash Raj Films announced that they would be making a sequel to one of my favorite movies, I was VERY VERY happy with the way the movie turned out. Before I say anything though, I have to get this out of my system: MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNN was Hrithik HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTT!!! Actually everyone was...but Hrithik was the star of the show. In Dhoom, Abhishek and John shared the spotlight, but in this one, it was aalllll Hrithik. The stunts were awesome, the dances were so-so, dialogues were GREAT...and the scene between Abhishek and Hrithik (just like where Abhi confronts John in the first one) was cool....and of course, when its a Sanjay Gadhvi movie, there HAS to be at least once bike scene...and being a person that knows nothing about bikes...they looked goooooooooooooodd...and with Hrithik on it..? Even better. Storyline was pretty good too...just a LITTLE bit dry for a few minutes here and there...but the cinematography and effects made up for it. Ash and Bipasha looked HOT...but Ash couldn't pull off the bad girl role...she did the emotional scenes well though. She was supposed to be all cool and whatnot, but kind of faltered when it came to that. The scenes between Uday Chopra and Bipasha were pretty funny in midst of all the seriousness, but they got a little irritating. Songs were choreographed pretty well...but its the fight sequences that took the cake...VERY well done. But overall, it was an AWESOME movie...well worth the wait.

Uday was hilarious! bips & Abhishek were pretty good. Everyone who has been waiting for a thriller thats actually watchable...here is ur chance...go watch dhoom2!

Taran, With all due respects to your reviewing capabilities, what was it that u saw in Dhoom 2 that you have liberally rated the film with 4.5 stars??? I'm an ardent follower of your reviews and based on that I made it to the cinemas here in Washington with 6 other friends telling all of them that the reviews are very good. But lo and behold each one of us was in for a BIG surprise. None of us liked the movie and here's our collective review in a nutshell: 1. The movie is nothing but a fashion show involving Hrithik, Ash and Bipasha. 2. There's no story whatsoever (still 4.5 stars???) and all the time was wasted on unnecessary introductions and scenes (like the basket ball scene). 3. Not one good song in the entire movie. 4. Most of all, its an Illogical movie. There are umpteen number of Illogical scenes. You want instances? There are many. But here are a few: a. When Hrithik robs that ruby - How does he manage to get into the room in the first place before posing himself as a white painted statue. Wasn't the room guarded well enough? And with so many guys in the room, no body notices a tiny remote device moving at a slow pace in the room and doing the needful. b. When Uday talks to Bipasha in Hindi she can understand, but she cant, when Abhishek talks to her in Hindi. And she admits that in the movie. But one wonders HOW??? and WHY??? c. After all the drama, Abhishek lets Hrithik and Ask go??? So, all for nothing? Did we have to sit thru just to watch Hrithik give away all that he had robbed and end up like Bunty and Babli in one of Abhishek's other movie. Really, not just this scene, But the entire movie is a remake mix of many other movies. I still wonder, HOW of all the people ONLY u have rated this movie with 4.5 stars??? Tell me frankly, Did Yash(uncle?)Chopra bribe you before you reviewed this movie from his Production House? Honestly, all other movies of his like Veer Zara in the recent past had story material. What is Dhoom 2's meat? It falls very short of being a Porno move. It's one sick movie with a bunch of sickos(Hrithik, Bipasha and Ash). You've rated them for best performances. If people decide to make this movie a hit in India, then God bless the public. It only brings India notches down when it comes to sensibility. Indians appreciate crap. Thats what it comes down to and thanks to people like u. You had rated DON with 3 stars which was a far better movie that this. Shame!!! MOVIE FOR HRITHIK FANS, REST WLL BE DISSAPOINTED Did not live up to the expectations of Dhoom 1. There wasn't the amount of aciton in as was in the first movie. The songs are mediocre (catchy dance numbers but lyrically horrible). The movie is a visual feast itself. Very overtly sexual. Ash bears too much...her image is not that of a sex siren so she does not seem right for the role. Bips looks gorgeous. Uday provides nice comic relief. Bips' acting is average (nothing to comment on). Hrithik steals the show!! Abhishek also has a medicore perforamce...not great, not bad. He is outshined by Hrithik.

Movie is awesome! Hrithik is no doubt the best looking actor in Bollywood right now! He is the only one who can pull it off such roles with finnesse! Ash/Bipasha look good. I am not happy with way AB Jr. is carrying himself in the movie. Uday for first time pulls it off! I didnt like twist in the end, kinda unpleasant n predictable! I cannot wait till I see Arjun Rampal, Akshay Kumar or some hot looking dude like Upen Patel to be in next sequel.

Just got back from watching Dhoom 2 ............. And I would recommend this movie to everyone! The cinema hall was packed with people of all ages, babies in prams up to the grandfathers and they all enjoyed it!!! Its clearly a Hrithik Roshan movie!! The pairing and chemistry of Ash and Hrithik is great! The scenery of the different locations they filmed at was breathtaking. I cannot wait til it releases on DVD, so I can buy it!!!

There is no doubt about the execution of stunts in dhoom2, but what is striking that why are those stunts imitated? And those action scenes acting against gravity, its too much now. The real hero of the movie is the man behind make-up stuffs. Mind blowing!!! All the different faces given to Hritik are just of international quality. May be even better than hollywood!! When it comes to indiividual performances, Hritik rocks. Simply best!! No two views about it. Abhiskek is okay. But he is too serious. Do die hard cops never laugh. Come on man take a chill pill! Aishwaria has such a fair skin then why is she forcibly shown with wheetish using that over make up. Specially while table conversation of turn by trun shoot with Hritik in second half. Bipasha what was she doing there just for that bikini shot, one song and some shooting practise. Uday is strictly okay. He goes over the top on many occassions. Music, by Pritam, is just the hindrance in the movie's progress. Had Hritik not been there to do trade-mark dancing steps songs would have been total disaster. On the whole, those people ready to shut down their minds and watch Hritik as a real performer and his excellent make-up exhibition it will be delight or else it is going to dissapoint.
