Ahead of Shaakuntalam release, Vijay Deverakonda pens a heartfelt note for “fighter” Samantha Ruth Prabhu; latter calls him “my hero”

Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, two of the most popular actors in South Indian cinema, are all set to star in their second collaboration, titled Kushi. Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of their movie, and expectations are high as both actors have a huge following. While Kushi is slated to release in September, Samantha is currently making headlines for her latest project, Shaakuntalam, which will be released tomorrow , April 14.

As the release is around the corner, Vijay took to his social media handle and penned a heartfelt note for his Kushi co-star while calling her a “fighter”. Vijay wrote, “Sammy, You are so full of love, always wanting to do right, spread cheer, still giving your everything for each shot in a film as if your entire career depends on it. The world might never know what a fighter you have been the past 1 year, always trying to put a smile and your best foot forward for your teams, films and fans even though your body needs a break, needs rest,” on his Instagram story section.

 

Deverakonda further added, “I wish you all luck for #Shaakuntalam tomorrow. Your will and the love of millions will always keep you safe. It will all be well. Love always, Viay.” Reacting on the photo-video sharing platform, Samantha re-shared it and wrote, “At a loss for words.. Really needed this. Thank you, my hero!!”

 

 

Speaking of Shaakuntalam, it is based on Kalidasa’s Sanskrit play Abhijnanasakuntalam and is directed by Gunasekhar.
