The new set photos and video for the Joker sequel have gone viral and fans are thrilled as ever for the new character looks revealed!

Joaquin Phoenix is back as the iconic Joker and the 48-year-old was seen on the set of Joker: Folie à Deux filming in downtown Manhattan early on March 26. As reported by Just Jared, in one scene, Joaquin’s titular character was seen being escorted away by police cars inside a correctional Gotham Police van.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, several new photos and clips that emerged online from the production unveiled Lady Gaga’s costume and make-up for the film. The photographs showed Gaga’s character being escorted by Gotham police officers into a government building. She was surrounded by protesters holding signs with messages such as ‘Free Joker,’ ‘Justice 4 Joker,’ ‘Joker Marry Me’ and ‘No Justice Not Guilty Not Joking.’

 

 

 

 

Although there hasn't been an official confirmation that Gaga will be playing Harley Quinn, the scarlet jacket and diamond-print blouse she wore, along with the romantic messages among the protesters and the clown makeup on her face, strongly suggest it. Last month, director Todd Phillips also shared the film’s first official photo of Gaga and Joaquin.

 

Joker: Folie à Deux is the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster, Joker. The physiological crime-thriller is directed by Todd Phillips. Meanwhile, Joker: Folie à Deux will be released on October 4.
