Riteish Deshmukh transforms into a Politician for Raid 2, first look unveiled
Riteish Deshmukh is set to make a powerful entry into the world of Raid 2, this time as a formidable politician. The makers of the highly anticipated sequel unveiled the first-look poster of Deshmukh’s character, showcasing him in a fierce avatar as he takes on the righteous IRS officer Amay Patnaik, played by Ajay Devgn.
The poster hints at a gripping face-off, with Deshmukh stepping into the shoes of a cunning and influential politician, marking his first collaboration in the Raid franchise. Known for his versatility, the actor is set to play a never-seen-before intense and menacing role. Fans are eager to see how this battle of power and law unfolds on the big screen.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar, Raid 2 is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series and is a Panorama Studios production. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film is slated for a grand theatrical release on May 1, 2025.
The first installment of Raid (2018) was a massive hit, featuring Devgn as the fearless tax officer on a mission against corrupt politicians and businessmen. With Raid 2, the stakes are higher as Riteish Deshmukh's powerful politician character emerges as a formidable nemesis, setting the stage for an electrifying showdown.
