BO update: Mr. X starts slow, Margarita with a Straw dull
This week we see the release of two drastically different films, viz, MR. X and MARGARITA WITH A STRAW (MWAS). While the first featuring Emraan Hashmi is expected to do moderate business, the latter featuring Kalki Koechlin caters to a more niche section of the audience.BO update: Mr. X starts slow, Margarita with a Straw dull
As expected, reports suggest that MR. X despite taking off on a slow note has fared better than MWAS. In fact, MR. X features a 25% opening occupancy rate, unlike MWAS that does not feature any morning shows. However, both films will have to contend with the regional release COURT in some territories, and the previous release FAST AND FURIOUS 7, that is finally slowing down in its third week.
On the whole, both films, MR. X and MWAS will have to rely heavily on good word of mouth to post decent weekend collections.
