B.O. update: Too many films spoil the prospects

 

Six new movies on one day [DADDY COOL, KISAAN, LOVE KHICHDI, QUICK GUN MURUGAN, TOSS and YEH MERA INDIA] resulted in the business getting divided and how. None of them could muster a face-saving opening. In fact, in some cases, you could actually count the people in the auditorium. The opening numbers ranged from 5% to 10% to 15%; in the case of two films, the management of theatres were forced to cancel shows due to lack of audiences.
