Samrat Prithviraj Box Office: Akshay Kumar starrer draws in Rs. 10.95 cr in Week 2; ranks as sixth highest second week grosser of 2022
The Akshay Kumar starrer Samrat Prithviraj released two weeks ago to a rather tepid response from the audience. Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi the historical drama that also features Manushi Chhillar, Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood the film did not perform as expected at the box office. Despite the wide screen count and immense promotions, Samrat Prithviraj has been facing an uphill task at the box office.
In this box office report, we look at the second week collections of the film while comparing the same to previous releases of 2022. Collecting Rs. 10.95 cr Samrat Prithviraj has emerged as the sixth highest second week grosser of 2022. In fact, the business of the film manages to surpass previous releases like Runway 34 which collected Rs. 7 cr, Badhaai Do which collected Rs. 6.74 cr, Jhund which collected Rs. 4 cr, and Attack - Part I which had collected Rs. 1.95 cr.
Going forward, Samrat Prithviraj is all but gone from big screens, with the film still managing to retain a few shows in select locations. With total collections pegged at Rs. 66 cr trade predictions state that Samrat Prithviraj is unlikely to see much growth over the coming week.
