China box office: Pad Man collects USD 0.14 million on Day 14; closes business in China at Rs. 66.91 cr
The Akshay Kumar starrer Pad Man that released a while back in India hit screens in China just two weeks ago. After opening on a good note the business of the film saw good growth at the China box office over its opening weekend and the subsequent week days as well.
Now on its fourteenth day at the China box office Pad Man has managed to draw in a further USD 0.14 million [Rs. 0.97 cr]. With this the total collections of Pad Man at the China box office now stand at USD 9.57 million [Rs. 66.91 cr]. Not surprisingly, though the film was high on content, unlike Aamir Khan who already has a massive fan following, Akshay Kumar is yet to establish a fan base in China.
However, despite the comparatively low key collections of Pad Man in China expectations are that content driven Bollywood films will continue to draw in audience at the China box office.
