Box Office: Tanhaji surpasses P.K; emerges as the 3rd highest All Time Third Sunday grosser
The Om Raut directed, Ajay Devgn – Saif Ali Khan starrer Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior released a few weeks ago and since then the film has been doing brisk business at the box office. With positive reviews and good audience appreciation the collections of Tanhaji fast crossed the Rs. 100 cr mark.
Now after its third weekend, we take a look at the collections of Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior on its third Sunday while comparing the same to previous releases that have made it this far. Collecting Rs. 12.58 cr on its third Sunday, Tanhaji has managed to surpass the collections of PK that had collected Rs. 11.58 cr to become the third highest all time 3rd Sunday grosser. Besides PK, the third Sunday collections of Tanhaji have also managed to out beat a few other releases like, Kabir Singh that collected Rs. 9.61 cr, Sanju that collected Rs. 9.29 cr, Uri - The Surgical Strike that collected Rs. 9.28 cr, Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected Rs. 9.07 cr, Tiger Zinda Hai that collected Rs. 8.27 cr, and 3 Idiots that collected Rs. 8.01 cr.
Currently, Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior still runs in theatres remaining as the audience’s first choice. Given this fact, trade expectations are that the business of the film will continue to see growth in its fourth week. All that remains to be seen is where the business of the films goes from here.
