BO Report Card: Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Vs Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara!

 

Last week saw the release of Akshay Kumar-Imran Khan- Sonakshi Sinha starrer Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara . The film, which is a sequel to the 2010 hit Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai , was much hyped and was initially planned for Eid release this year. However, the film was shifted by a week for Independence Day release in order to avoid clash between the two biggies on Eid day, namely OUATIMD and Chennai Express . OUATIMD opened on Independence Day (Thursday) on limited number of screens in India, approx 1600 screens, and collected Rs. 14.20 cr. The original Ajay Devgn-Emraan Hashmi starrer OUATIM however had collected Rs. 6.05 cr on its Opening Day when it released in 2010.
