Abhishek Kapoor to be credited for story idea in Rock On 2

For all those who are waiting for the Rock On! sequel, here is some news which will be music to your ears. The news is that the controversy regarding the story credits of film has finally been cleared (read 'resolved').

 

Speaking about the same, Pubali Chaudhuri (the film's writer) said that The Film Writers Association (FWA) had informed an Appellate Board that had ruled that the story's credit to be given to Abhishek Kapoor and her for writing the film's story and the screenplay. Pubali added that the FWA had closed the case and that the producers are satisfied with the verdict. She also added that the film will be going on floors as per the schedule.

Directed by debutant Shujaat Saudagar, Rock On 2 is said to have retained the old cast for the second installment too and will be produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidwani under their banner Excel Entertainment.
