Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan starrer Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is continuing to see good footfalls coming its way. If the first day surprised one and all with collections to the tune of Rs. 5.49 crores, the second day was even better at Rs. 7.20 crores. It’s just that this time it wasn’t surprising since the word of mouth has suggested a decent entertainer that works for the family entertainment and that’s something which is working in favour of the film.
This is a growth of over 30% for the film and it’s pretty healthy considering the levels at which it has already started. Post-pandemic, such kind of growth is difficult to come by even at lower level opening of Rs. 2-3 crores and here it’s gaining, so when the start in the north of 5 crores mark. This also shows that the film has been genuinely accepted by the audience and the buy-one-get-one free offer is just aiding it to an extent, and not enabling it, which is where the difference lies.
So far, the Laxman Utekar directed film has brought in Rs. 12.69 crores and prior to release one would have expected this to be the entire weekend score and even that wouldn’t have been considered bad. Today, the film should bring in Rs. 8-9 crores more. There is an outside chance of hitting Rs. 10 crores mark but for that, the film would need to grow even better than yesterday and that would be a tough call. Still, the film is now getting into the profit zone and in today’s times, that’s equivalent to being a good success.
