Overseas: Business hits rock-bottom!

The holy month of Ramzan coupled with the cricket matches made a big dent in film business this weekend… Of late, Priyadarshan’s films have had fantastic openings in U.K., but DHOL ranks amongst his lowest openers here… The other two releases in U.K., MUMMY-JI and SAMBAR SALSA, have also recorded dull openings… Meanwhile, MITTI WAJAAN MAARDI [Punjabi] continues to do rock-steady business.

U.K. BOX-OFFICE

  • MITTI WAJAAN MAARDI [Punjabi; last weekend: No. 16, this weekend: No. 20]: In its second weekend, the film has collected £ 36,195 on 11 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 3,290. Total: £ 116,880 [approx. Rs. 93.55 lacs].


  • DHOL has debuted at No. 27 position. In its opening weekend, the film has collected £ 16,701 [approx. Rs. 13.37 lacs] on 15 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 1,113.
