Ghai floats new banner

Subhash Ghai, who has produced a number of movies under the banner of Mukta Arts Ltd., has floated one more banner now: Mukta Searchlight Films. "All those films targeted at a select audience, with moderate budgets, will be produced under the new banner. These films will include festival, crossover and low-budget but entertaining films made by debutante or upcoming directors," Ghai informs me.
Meanwhile, Mukta Arts Ltd. will continue to produce big-budget ventures with directors such as Abbas-Mustan [36 CHINA TOWN]. The Nagesh Kukunoor-directed IQBAL will be the first film to be released under the Mukta Searchlight Films banner this August.
