Sonu refused fees for Babul

Not only does he have a golden voice, Sonu Nigam has a heart of gold too. And one person who would totally agree with this is Ravi Chopra.
Sonu Nigam recently recorded a song for Chopra's Babul starring Rani, Salman and John, without charging anything for it. "When Sonu heard the song after recording, he returned his cheques saying that you cannot give a good song and then pay me for it. He only took Rs.101 as shagun," informs Abhay Chopra, who is touched by this noble gesture.
Sonu is very happy with the song and feels that a singer doesn't get songs like this often. Sonu is to record one more song for the film. Aadesh Shrivastav has composed the music for Babul.
