Shahid in Sooraj's next

Here's the most interesting development of the week!
Post MAIN PREM KI DIWANI HOON, Sooraj R. Barjatya had started working on his next project. Some said he had approached lucky mascot Salman Khan for it. A few whispered that the maker of MAINE PYAR KIYA and HUM AAPKE HAIN KOUN had decided to cast new faces this time.
But here's the truth… Sooraj has had a meeting with Shahid Kapoor for the film in question, an extremely reliable source, who doesn't wish to be named, informs me. The two had a constructive, lengthy discussion on the project a few days ago. Shahid hasn't officially signed the project yet, but has agreed in principle to star in the film.
Shahid is currently in Bangkok, shooting for the Abbas-Mustan-directed 36 CHINA TOWN, but is expected to sign on the dotted line once he returns from Thailand. Watch this space!
