Prakash Jha is ready with his new film APAHARAN, starring Nana Patekar, Ajay Devgan, Bipasha Basu and Mohan Agashe. Even though the background score is being recorded in the U.S. currently [by Wayne Sharpe] and the film will be ready for release in a few weeks from now, Jha has decided to release the film in November, in the Diwali week to be precise [November 4].
“I want to promote the film extensively this time. In the past, the moment I was ready with a film, I'd release it right away, doing away with the all-important promotions. But I don't want to repeat the mistakes this time. I plan to promote the film extensively,” the maker of realistic, hard-hitting films gets real.
There's another reason why Jha has decided to wait. “I am planning to take APAHARAN to various festivals abroad. Also, since Ajay isn't too strong in the Overseas territory, I've decided to promote the film aggressively and then reap the benefits,” he states.
