Shabana, Gauri's compliments

They rarely shower compliments. So when they do sing praises, it's akin to winning the ultimate award for any actor.
Actor Chunkey Pandey has been receiving laurels ever since D was released last Friday. Friends and well-wishers across the globe have called to congratulate the actor for his terrific portrayal as Raghav. Naturally, Chunkey is thrilled to bits.
But imagine receiving a call from none other than Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi on Saturday morning, the very next day of its release. "At first, I thought someone was pulling a fast one on me. But I soon recognized Javed-saab's voice. Then Shabana-ji spoke. Both spoke highly of my performance as also that one sequence when Sushant shoots me at point blank range," Chunkey informs me.
SRK's wife Gauri Khan also called and spoke to Chunkey's wife Bhavana. "What she remarked was, such comebacks happen only in Hollywood, not Bollywood. That one sentence spoke volumes," an emotional Chunkey remarks. True!
