Sarkar releases on Thursday

After D, it's Sarkar, creating a lot of buzz and feeding the gossip mill in abundance, this RGV movie stars stalwart Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek coming together as father-son onscreen for the first time.
The audiences' wait will be over this week and maverick Ramu has decided to pleasantly surprise the audience, so instead of a Friday release; Sarkar will hit the big screen on Thursday, June 30.
Are we seeing a shift in the trend? "Sarkar is a special case, its releasing on Thursday because we wanted to release the movie in this quarter, i.e. before 1 July. It's not a trend that the company is planning to adopt," says a spokesperson from RGV's company Factory.
