No threat says Ramu

As the release date is getting closer, D is supplying ample fodder for the gossip mills. As soon as the movie came in public eye, the speculations of it being based on Dawood Ibrahim's life have not been put to rest. Recent reports spoke of filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma receiving threatening calls from mafia don Chotta Rajan demanding a preview of the film and warning him against glorifying rival Dawood's image.
However, contrary to earlier reports, RGV has denied receiving any such call, saying that he does not answer calls from unidentified numbers so there is no question of taking the call. He that all the characters of his film die a horrible death in the end so how can there be allegations of glorifying someone alive.
Suspect this as a publicity stunt, a common trend these days and the filmmaker rebukes, saying that it's the media that indulges in sensationalizing something and he doesn't endorse or have control over it.
