‘Actress’ is now ‘Awarapan’

Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt have altered the title of the film that they are making on the life of Parveen Babi. Initially, they had thought of calling the film ACTRESS, “but AWARAPAN suits the script better,” director Mohit Suri informs me. Incidentally, Mahesh Bhatt has decided to pen the script of this film himself [Mohit’s earlier films ZEHER and KALYUG were penned by someone else].

The leading lady is still under finalization, while Mumtaz’s nephew Shaad will be launched in this film. One more lead man is under finalization.
