Puja performed at the Vishawanath Temple - Banaras

For those who came in a little late, the official website for the film, “Banaras- a mystical love story” features a unique application called “make a wish”. The user has to submit his wish and light a diya in his name on the website. Following which an actual puja will be performed in the name of all those who lit the diya.
And yes, this was done. This is probably the first time in the history on Bollywood that producer/writer LC Singh took the pains of going all the way to Banaras and perform a puja in the name of all the registered users of the films official website www.banarasthefilm.com. The Puja was performed in at the Vishwanath Temple, Banaras, on 8 Dec, 2005 at 5:10 pm. Diyas in the name of the users were also floated in the holy Ganga at 6:15 pm on the same day.
This surely is an awesome gesture on the part of the film makers.
