Veteran film maker Ramanand Sagar passes away

Eighty seven year old film maker Ramanand Sagar, known to be a writer, director and producer passed away at his residence in Mumbai, yesterday. The funeral will be held today. His health had been deteriorating since the past three months. He has five sons and a daughter. During his career as a film maker, he made some memorable works like Insaniyat, Kohinoor, Pegaam, Ghunghat, Zindagi, Aankhen, Lalkar, Aarzoo, Geet and Bagavat. His most famous project was the television serial Ramayana, which till date is the longest running serial.
