After displaying her talent as an actress in movies like Page 3 and Mr. and Mrs. Iyer, Konkana Sen Sharma is all set to make her directorial debut with a 10 min film for the Kala Ghoda Film Festival. The film is going to be made in Bengali and is titled Naamkoron (Naming Ceremony).

Konakana is very much excited about this project. The story of the movie revolves around the life of two sisters who end up pick pocketing. Apparently, these characters are going to be played by real life sisters, Sudipta Chakraborty and Bidipta Chakraborty. Konkana says that she has consciously chosen them as they have a theatrical background and hence would do justice to the characters in the movie.

Konkana plans to start the shoot for the movie this month. On the other hand though, she confesses that she has no plans to take up direction as a profession just yet and that she is very much happy with her acting career.

Konkana’s next release is 15 Park Avenue, directed by her mother Aparna Sen. The film also stars Shabana Azmi, Waheeda Rehman and Rahul Bose.
