‘Shaadi Se Pehle’ on Valentine’s Day

Subhash Ghai had earlier scheduled the release of SHAADI SE PEHLE, directed by Satish Kaushik, for January 12, but has decided to postpone the film to February. “I am looking at Valentine’s Day now, since the theme of the film gels well with the occasion,” Ghai, currently in Dubai to attend the Dubai International Film Festival, informs me.
Soon after his arrival from Pakistan, Ghai flew to Dubai [he is the Guest of Honor for the second year in succession at D.I.F.F.]. “It feels nice that Indian cinema is finally getting its due,” he sounds elated. On Ghai’s arrival in Mumbai, the Showman would have a soft launch of Whistling Woods International, the institute for films, television and media arts. “The launch is on January 24,” he divulges.
With SHAADI SE PEHLE confirmed for February, Ghai has now decided to release 36 CHINA TOWN, directed by Abbas-Mustan, in May.
