The trend continues! By now, the practice of showcasing the promo of a forthcoming film with a new release has caught on in a big way. Makers like Yash Raj and RGV triggered off this trend and other makers followed suit. Now, another film-making ‘factory,’ Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt, have decided to observe this tradition.

Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt’s new release, KALYUG, which hits the screens this Friday, will showcase a minute-long trailer of their forthcoming film GANGSTER, before the reels of KALYUG unfold. Starring Emraan Hashmi, Shiney Ahuja and new face Kangna, GANGSTER has been filmed entirely in Korea. Must say, the promo of GANGSTER does make quite an impact!

Meanwhile, the Bhatt brothers have decided to start a number of projects in the forthcoming months. And in keeping with their policy of introducing new talent, most of them will be directed by first-timers. But the announcement that is sure to catch people unaware is that of choreographer Raju Khan turning director with Bhatt’s next.

“Raju Khan went independent as a choreographer with our AASHIQUI. He has been with us all these years, choreographing songs for all our films. We’ve now signed Raju to direct our forthcoming venture, titled SHOWBIZ,” Mukesh Bhatt informs me. Starring newcomers in pivotal roles, the film will be a musical.
