Now ‘Shikhar’ shifted ahead

The year 2005 began with an Arjun Rampal-Amisha Patel starrer VAADA and the following year, 2006, is also expected to begin with their new release HUMKO TUMSE PYAAR HAI. Now here’s another coincidence…
The year 2004 ended with a Shahid Kapoor starrer DIL MAANGE MORE [released on December 31, 2004] and now, the year 2005 is also likely to end with a Shahid Kapoor starrer: SHIKHAR. John Mathew Mathan’s Ajay-Shahid starrer, which was slated for release on December 16, has now been shifted to December 30. “We decided to shift the film to December 30 to capitalize on the holiday period [Christmas, New Year festivities] that extends right till the first week of January,” Sanjay Bhattacharjii divulges.
As things stand today, it’s going to be two Shahid starrers in two consecutive weeks: VAAH! LIFE HO TOH AISI on December 23 and SHIKHAR on December 30. “I am going to be nervous for two weeks now,” Shahid Kapoor tells me. Sure, it’s going to be an acid test for the actor!
