Paresh Rawal to make singing debut

Talented actor Paresh Rawal will soon be making his debut as a playback singer. It is for good friend and fellow actor Naseeruddin Shah’s directorial debut Yun Hota To Kya Hota…What If. Composed by Viju Shah, the lyrics have been penned by Sameer. The song will be recorded by December end after a couple of rehearsals. Although it is the first time that Rawal is singing for a film, he has sung before for the 1982 musical, Khelaiya. The situation in the film required Rawal to sing. At first Naseeruddin Shah thought of getting a professional playback singer, but then he thought Rawal fit the bill, perfectly. A little apprehensive in the beginning, Rawal was finally convinced by Shah. The song will be picturised on him. Yun Hota To Kya Hota…What If also stars Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Jimmy Shergill, Ayesha Takia and Boman Irani.
Interestingly choreographer Saroj Khan has also turned an actor with this film.
