Bluffmaster - Provogue deal called off Click here to add this article to My Clips

By IndiaFM News Bureau, November 21, 2005 - 02:35 IST

Just a couple of days ago, we had reported about the Bluffmaster-Provogue deal. The makers of the film had tied up with the fashion brand, and the actors were to sport the Autumn-Winter collection in the song Tu Mila Mein Mila. Unfortunately, the deal is off, now. Provogue was to bear expenses of upto Rs. 1 crore, for this video. Sippy explains that the deal itself was struck last minute, just a day before the shoot. However, they did not want to the Provogue name to be splashed all over the screen, in an aggressive manner. Although other films (Subhash Ghai’s Yaadein being a glaring example), have had it, the Sippy’s were not really fine with it. At the most they would have had the logo in the background in a subtle manner, without diluting their vision for the song. Ramesh Sippy brushed off rumors that Abhishek had issues with the clothes. The makers believed that the brand would not get value for money. And so the two parties decided to part ways.
