Salman, Priyanka on ramp

Time was when a readymade shirt passed off as fashion. Today, the fashion business has changed dramatically!
A liberal mix of glamour. Oodles of creativity. That was the essence of Bollywood’s Numero Uno designer Vikram Phadnis’ Fall Collection 2005, held at The Leela on Tuesday night [October 18]. With Vikram around, the Khan brigade turned up in full force [he is Salman’s designer], besides the crème de la crème of Bollywood. After all, he currently adorns the wardrobes of the biggest names in the glamour industry.
A burning desire for design, passion for colors, an eye for details and obsession for perfection is Vikram. His collection included saris, bridal wear, designer jeans with trendy tops, dhotis, kurtas, lehengas and traditional Indian outfits in vibrant colors. In a nutshell, the clothes displayed were very practical, very wearable.
The surprise of the evening was Priyanka Chopra walking the ramp, wearing a Vikram creation, while Salman Khan joined her subsequently. Khan was in his usual masti mood. That Vikram is a stylist par excellence was proved yet again last night.
