Book launch to mark Golden Jubilee of BR Films

The prestigious BR Chopra production house will be completing a landmark 50 years this coming week. Their first film, Ek Hi Rasta, starring Ashok Kumar, Sunil Dutt and Meena Kumari was signed on September 26, 1955. And the rest as they say is history. A book titled ‘The BR Story’ will be launched on this special occasion. This book will contain exclusive photographs which will tell the BR Story. This book will have a lot of matter dealing with B R Chopra’s life since he is an integral part of the production house. Also it will include a lot of writings from veteran actors like Dilip Kumar, the late Sunil Dutt, the late Ashok Kumar and Hema Malini. The book will be released around the same time that Babul is released. Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini will be present on the occasion. Babul is scheduled to release sometime in May 2006. It stars Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Salman Khan, Rani Mukherjee and John Abraham.
