Ace photographer Subi Samuel turns film maker

Leading photographer, Subi Samuel has decided to venture into film making, as a producer. His first film titled Alag stars Vinod Khanna, Diya Mirza, Akshay Kapoor and is directed by Ashu Trikha. Akshay was last seen in Popcorn Khao Mast Ho Jao whereas Ashu has films like Sheesha and Deewanapan to his credit. The film’s shooting began on September 19 in RK Studios, Mumbai. Samuel maintains that although he wanted to become a producer since quite some time now, photography will always be his first love. Getting into film making was just the next step in his career. Samuel has chosen relative newcomer Akshay Kapoor because he needed a new face and Akshay does not have any excess baggage in the form of labels and an image.
Talking about the film, the director promises that the film will live up to it’s name i.e Alag. He believes that it is truly a different film. Apart from this film, Samuel’s banner Subi Samuel Movies Pvt. Ltd will produce another film which will be announced in January.
