Why the Emraan-Tanushree kiss in Chocolate was a no-show

Just before the release of Chocolate, stories about a hot smooch scene between Emraan Hashmi and Tanushree Dutta in the film
were splashed all over the media. The scene was said to have been chopped off. But when the film finally released on
September 16, everyone was a little puzzled because Emraan isn't even cast opposite Tanushree. Sunil Shetty plays her love
interest in the film. So those who watched the film were left wondering, how the kiss would even figure in the movie and why
there was such a ruckus about the scene being chopped off.
Finally we thought we would get the story behind it from director Vivek Agnihotri himself. Says Agnihotri, "Earlier we
thought that we would show Tanushree seducing Emraan in the film. The scene was also shot. However, during the course of the
making, the idea was dropped off". So for all those scratching your heads in confusion, there is your explanation!
