Taj Mahal to release in October

Akbar Khan’s historical extravaganza Taj Mahal will finally see the light of the day in October. The film has been in the making for almost four years now. Sources claim that distributors were wary of another period film after the fiasco of The Rising. However, Akbar Khan denied these reports saying that the film was to be distributed under his banner itself. He has sold his film to a few distributors because they have the capacity to release this ambitious project. The Mumbai floods were cited as another reason for the delay in the film’s release. It will finally release on October 28, around Eid and Diwali. Khan’s forthcoming projects include another historical film and a small budget romantic film titled Taxi Driver.
