Hema Malini to direct Rekha in her next film

Hema Malini is ready to don the director’s hat after a gap of 15 years. The first and last film she directed was Dil Aashna Hai, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Divya Bharati way back in 1992. This time her movie will star none other than the evergreen Rekha and her daughter Esha Deol. The movie is basically about the relationship that two women from different generations share and is set against the backdrop of classical music.
The association between Rekha and Hema is very old. The diva is very excited about being a part of Hema’s film. When asked why Hema didn’t cast herself in the movie, she says that she didn’t do so because it isn’t a mother-daughter story. And also it would be difficult for her to act and direct at the same time.
And guess who the male lead of the film is? It’s Abhishek Bachchan opposite Esha Deol. How we wish Hema to also rope in Amitabh opposite Rekha!
