After tasting success with KYAA KOOL HAI HUM [K2H2], director Sangeeth Sivan is all set to start two more comic capers next. “Everyone wants to make a light entertainer these days,” he chuckles. True, with MAINE PYAAR KYUN KIYA, K2H2 and NO ENTRY storming the box-office, ‘comedy’ is the new mantra for success.
Sivan has consented to direct a film for Mukta Arts Ltd., which will be announced in October this year. Earlier, there was talk that the K2H2 team [Tusshar, Ritesh] would feature in this film, but the cast has been altered: It’ll now star Aftab Shivdasani and Ritesh Deshmukh, the MASTI combo.
Sivan will also direct a film for Firoz A. Nadiadwala, which will star Vivek Oberoi and two more heroes, who are currently under finalization. “We are talking with Zayed and Ritesh for this film, though nothing is confirmed yet,” Sivan adds. The two films will abound in light moments, minus double-entendre.
