Raveena resigns from post of chairperson in Film Society

It's been just about two years since actress Raveena Tandon was appointed as the chairperson of the Children's Film Society of India. A year later, the actress found herself in a controversy as there were allegations that she does not attend the organization's meetings. Also, there was a lot of resentment from the senior people in the film industry as they felt that she was too young to be appointed as the chairperson. Finally Raveena has resigned from the post.
Tandon said that the move was because of her personal reasons. Sources say that there was a conflict, after her marriage to film distributor Anil Thadani. The time she gave to CFSI was reduced. Further, more problems arose after the birth of her daughter, as her absence from the organizations activities became more evident.
The children's film festival is scheduled to be held in November, in Hyderabad. According to her, it was becoming more and more difficult to balance the activities of the society with her personal life.
