Baba Sehgal is back!

The original Indian rapper Baba Sehgal, has been out of the limelight for sometime now. Now he is planning to make a comeback in a Bollywood film. And this time, it’s his acting skills that will be on display. The role is that of a villain in the movie ‘Thodi Masti Thoda Dhoom’ to be directed by Vicky Ranawat. Baba Sehgal will be seen alongside Sanjay Kapoor and Hrishita Bhatt. At a press conference in New Delhi, Baba expressed that he was extremely happy to be acting and that his role as a villain was enjoyable. Apart from Bollywood, Baba will also be seen on the small screen, in the serial "Le Jayenge Le Jayenge" for Star Plus and "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" on Zee Punjabi.
The fact that Baba is experimenting with acting does not mean that he has forgotten about his musical skills. His latest album "Welcome to Mumbai" is ready for release. The album has eight songs that include rap, bhangra and remixes of his old numbers. According to him, it has some additional songs that will ‘redefine’ hip hop. At present, a deal with two leading music companies is getting finalized and the album should hit the music stores within a month. A formal tie up with the Delhi based entertainment group Amigos Entertainment has also been announced to release a music album in the near future.
Harjit Singh Sehgal, better known as Baba Sehgal became immensely successful with his 1992 rap album, ‘Thanda Thanda Pani.’ With an impressive 21 albums to his credit, he is known for his wacky sense of humor.
