Jackie nominated as the Best Actor

After no films to talk about and a mountain of debt to take care of, Jackie Shroff has bounced back and how? The actor has been nominated in the Best Actor category at he 58th Locarno International Film festival, for his performance in Rituparno Ghosh's Antar Mahal.
The film, which is scheduled for media screening on August 10, is a story of a wicked Zamindar, his wives, Rupa Ganguly and Soha Ali Khan; and a sculptor played by Abhishek and his wife, Raima Sen.
The idea of having two wives attracted me to the role, humors Jackie, who began with just two words of Bengali but in the due course of the shoot has become so proficient in the language, that his voice has been used in the dubbing too.
Antar Mahal has also been nominated in the Best Film category at the same festival.
