Amisha Researches For 'The Rising'

While we are used to actresses flirting from one film to the next without doing any homework for their roles, here's one actress who did all the research to portray a significant character on screen.
Amisha enacts the role of a widow during the British Raj opposite a British soldier in THE RISING. Amisha read many books about the period and considers William Dalrymple's 'White Mughal' as the reference point.
Says Amisha, “I was fascinated when I read 'White Mughal' because it talks about those times. It was a reference point in terms of sketching the character, in terms of characterization. In fact, Aamir and [director] Ketan Mehta helped me all the way.”
