Ashmit out, Dino in – in Aksar

Actor Ashmit Patel has stepped out of Anant Mahadevan’s next film Aksar that stars Celina Jaitley and Emran Hashmi. Perhaps Ashmit who was sidelined by Emran Hashmi in Murder might have felt that he would be overshadowed in this film too. But director Anant Mahadevan says that Ashmit was never ever cast in the film. Though he was initially considered for the role, the makers felt that he didn’t fit the bill in the script-narration session itself. They needed an elderly actor to play the role of Celina’s husband. Dino Morea was subsequently signed for the role. Perhaps he looks more elder than Ashmit.

Aksar is a suspense thriller that also stars Tara Sharma and Irrfan Khan is produced by Shyam Bajaj and scripted by Sujit Sen.
