RGV signs Mallika Sherawat

While most in Bollywood might have never dreamt of such an incongruous casting combination to happen, it actually has taken place. Ram Gopal Varma has signed Mallika Sherawat for his under-production film Darna Zaroori Hai. This comes in as a slight surprise because both the personalities come from quite different sensibilities and school of filmmaking. There was buzz on this happening in the industry for quite some time now but Varma has finally consented to the proceeding. What needs to be seen is that will Varma cash in on Mallika's sex-symbol image or give her a complete changeover?
More on Darna Zaroori Hai, it is a thriller planned as a sequel to Varma's earlier experimental multi-starrer Darna Mana Hai. This long in the making film promises to be bigger and better in terms of its star cast and execution. The sequel like its predecessor will also have six separate episodes that will converge to a single common climax and this time each episode will be directed by a different director. Varma has already completed one episode starring Amitabh Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh. Prawal Raman, Sajid Khan, Jijy Philip, Rohit Jugraj (director of James) will be directing the other chapters. The movie also stars Anil Kapoor, Randeep Hooda and other big names.
